the sun is shining a bit brighter...

today i have no complaints. i slept until i woke up naturally... which was actually later than i wanted to wake up but ok. got up, tried the internet. nope not working, so i headed downstairs. i found my mom gone, mirian running around, ruth doing chores, and matias... not doing anything really... he was watching movie previews (to be fair - he had gotten up early and studied for three hours before i even woke up), and with nothing else to do, i joined him. it's funny, i find that i can't remember most actors names as soon as i get here. the guy in "wanted" that also did "atonement?" nope can't remember his name if my life depended on it. also, the movie names are different, and they are translated to literally represent whatever movie. like "burn notice" is translated literally into "burn after reading this." not much different, but different enough that i can't remember the names most of the time. i finally stole the PC away from matias, and he promptly fell asleep on my shoulder. i caught up on... nothing really, but i occupied myself. lunchtime came, and to my EXTREME delight it was tacos. the "tortillas" are made from empenada dough, meat with spices, slices tomatoes (ew), rice, and green olives for a twist (my touch). i filled myself, and was beyond content, haha. matias had to go to school right after, so i went up and watched heroes first season with my mom. i have already seen it, so i promptly fell asleep. i got up at 4:30 and went to the center with my mom and mirian. we were on a mission - buy shoes for lorena. my mom and i were along for the ride, and needless to say we got a bit distracted. i ended up getting a purse less "flashy" and more practical. i ended up with blue leather messenger bag type purse. very low key. mirian took off for home after we completed the shoe mission. mom and i popped over to look at the sunglass shop, and literally, i don't know how we did this, but the first pair of sunglasses that took our attention just happened to be over $1000 dollars. yes dollars. apparently they are limited edition. meaning they are one of 10,000 pairs of ray bans commemorating the 100 year anniversary. yet somehow they ended up on the peotonal or "the walking/shopping street" in resistencia, chaco, argentina, south american... work... hmm interesting. i settled on a no-name brand pair of $40 dark dark aviator glasses that are a bit better than my $5 forever 21 glasses. shopping works up an appetite, so we got a snack at the restaurant around the corner. they have drinks here called "licuados." if you think about it for a whole second you can figure out what that might be... licuad... liquid... basically a smoothie on steriods. it's blended so much that there is a healthy amount of foam on top. you take your pick of flavor (banana, peach, strawberry, and whatever else they might have), and they mix that with either milk or water. i hope your mouth is watering... did my description do it justice?

from san jose, mom and i split ways. she went to take an adventure of her own... taking the bus home... and i went on my own too. i have to admit i was a bit nervous... but it was time. another step towards freedom and independence...

i got a bike

that's right folks, in a town of pollution and environmental irresponsibility, i got a bike. i am doing my "one" thing... i hope someone gets that... i road it home, and i am not gonna lie, my knuckles probably got white from getting a bit nervous with the intimidating buses passing me, and cars on my tail. i made it home without an incident. and i am soooo excited.

things are getting settled slowly but surely. so far so good.

Bikes are nice... Congrats. Now I should fix mine. BTW, we're moving into a house across the street from the coffee bar. Sounds like life is good for you... How long is your mom staying down there?
